Title: Anti-TLM Letter To Cardinals
Post by: Todd The Trad on January 14, 2026, 05:17:25 AM
Apparently Liturgy was not discussed at the recent consistory (Jan 7-8) due to "time constraints", however a cardinal has leaked a letter defending and doubling down on Traditionis Custodes written by Cardinal Roche. It seems that this letter was sent to the cardinals. Pope? Leo is obviously aware of this and most likely represents his stance on the TLM. The link below has a short article on this and includes the English and Italian text of the letter;

It’s better for them to be honest about their motives than to deceive people in order to keep semi-trads and conservatives in union with Modernist Rome.

Yea plus I'm sure a lot of people have held back criticism about Pope? Leo hoping that he'd "free" the TLM. Now that that's seemingly off the table it'll be interesting to see how certain commentators react going forward.

Definitely would be interesting. A lot of those commentators seemingly became pro-Leo at the drop of the hat last year and haven't let it off since.
