What is the genesis for this claim that Catholics, or any gentiles, shouldn't hate those who publically and/or privately identify as Jews?

It would seem that this hatred, which does exist towards Jews, would be covered under righteous hatred.

Jews who are in the process of undergoing sincere conversions would be the exception.

I don't know if Jews are a genetic group or not. There's dispute about this. They're garbage whether they are or not.

Former popes who said that Catholics can't be anti-semitic because Jesus was a semite ... well this could be interpreted as Catholics being the true spiritual successors of the Old Testament Jews, and modern-day Jews having none of that spirit, but being enemies of that spirit. To be anti-Jєωιѕн does not qualify as immoral.
