Pope Francis warned against "administering a vaccine against faith" in a surprise plea for children of gαy couples and divorced parents, the AFP is reporting.

"On an educational level, gαy unions raise challenges for us today which for us are sometimes difficult to understand," Francis was quoted by a number of media outlets as having said in a November speech to the Catholic Union of Superiors General. "The number of children in schools whose parents have separated is very high."

He then added: "I remember a case in which a sad little girl confessed to her teacher: 'my mother's girlfriend doesn't love me' ... how can we proclaim Christ to a generation that is changing?"

However, the Vatican quickly shot down reports that the pope's comments were evidence of his support for same-sex unions in Italy, Reuters pointed out.

The pontiff's latest remarks follow end-of-year praise he received from a number of media outlets with regard to his stance on the lesbian, gαy, bisɛҳuąƖ and transgender (LGBT) community.

Last month, The Advocate named Pope Francis its 2013 "Person of the Year," though the distinction ruffled more than a few feathers among LGBT rights advocates.

Many pointed to the Pope's July comments about ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity in the context of a question about gαy friends, according to the Wall Street Journal.

"Who am I to judge a gαy person of goodwill who seeks the Lord?" the pontiff said at the time, speaking in Italian. "You can't marginalize these people."

"Pope Francis is still not pro-gαy by today's standard," wrote Lucas Grindley of The Advocate. "The pope's impact isn't on whether we're deciding to sit in the pews, it's on the people who are already in the pews. More so, it's on the devoted who are there every Sunday plus the middle of the week and who volunteer for charity work and who are sometimes our most ardent opposition."

so sick of the "who am i to judge" talk. People judge themself by the action and words they do. There is no such thing as a gαy person that is a sodomite.

Since Bergoglio calls a ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ a gαy person he judges himself. Wo to them that call evil good. It is the hope that all ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs will have the curse of God lifted off of them and they repent.

When the poor sinner comes into the Church in goodwill we should not be closing the door to him. What we should be doing is to try to bring him closer to God. Mass, Confession Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

Saint Paul told us not to associate with the sɛҳuąƖly immoral and unrepentant gαys were included in that category.

So, I don't know what faith francis is a member of, but I follow the teachings of the leader of the Church who was empowered by Jesus in the flesh. I follow the faith of Jesus- not the faith of the false preacher francis I.

I am traditional.  This was in the latest PHX, AZ dioceses paper (volume 30, number 6-June 19, 2014 page 3, Youth Ministry conference draws hundreds by Gina Keating.  700 People  came to the annual Catholic Youth Ministry Training Covention June 8-11 in Scottsdale, AZ.  

Here is one paragraph:  "Not one to shy away from societal issues facing teens today, the conference also offered leaders a course on gαy marriage and same-sex attraction under the heading "Same Love, Same Church".  

It continues, " Our goal is to completely transform the ides of what youth ministry is in our Church and what it can be, " said Stephen Lenahan, Atlanta-based Life Teen director of events.

In 1992, the Phx dioceses had the state come into the church halls to teach what can save them, the C-word, condom.  It was also brought into the High schools, one being under Bishop Moreno of Tucson.  And it was brought in by Grant monies and federal $$ under HIV Task Force, which was implemented in ALL states!

So, any reader on this thread, think New Order is just fine, well they are on the fast road to Hell!

We should all know what the Catholic church teaches about chastity and marriage. Anyone who would contradict that teaching is obviously not teaching what the Church teaches.

That's the problem; He did not use the word repent. Jesus did not eat with sinners in order to make them feel better about their sins.
