According to this article, Fellay said: no, we cannot accept what you are asking because for sure there are errors in the Council texts themselves, the errors of ecuмenism, of collegiality, of religious liberty. We cannot accept the errors of the Council and the New Mass.
I am glad to hear it, because I thought Fellay now believed that there were no errors in the council, only in the interpretation of the council.
I am glad to have been mistaken.
I don't think you
were mistaken. Wading through the various comments made by Bishop Fellay and other SSPX officials, it seems to me that he went from talking about the errors in the council to the problem being only that the interpretations of the council were faulty and, now, back to errors in the council.
This 360 degree turn over the past year or two is why, I think, there is a "Resistance". I am just concerned that I don't know what the "official" view of the bishop will be 9 to 15 months from now. Is he back "on course" or will he continue a slow turn?
I simply don't know.
