The church bells were ringing high noon. In less than thirty minutes, Pope Francis, in a nearby building for the Synod for the Family, would be returning to Santa Marta, the Vatican City residence for cardinals and high prelates where he resides in the shadow of Saint Peter. That was the scheduled meeting place, in his home. A modern residence, with no particular style, where he chose to live after his election to avoid feeling enclosed in the solemn and grand Apostolic Palace. Four soberly decorated functional rooms where he has no chance of running into nuns with “pimento vinegar traits,” to use his own expression.

For as "humble" as he pretends to be, he's constantly taking a condescending tone towards everyone else for not being as humble and charitable as he himself is.  He wags his finger at everyone ELSE for not being humble enough.
