  • So while there may be SOME comparison between the Vatican II Abomination and past scandals of error, inasmuch as there was error about then and there is error about now, there is NO comparison between the Vatican II Abomination and past scandals of error, inasmuch as now and now only it is the Roman Pontiff (or is it?) who is declaring a new Pentecost as former popes declared Jubilees and as a sine qua non of this New Pentecost inflicting error on the Universal Church from the Chair of Peter.

  • I love them.

My favorite Lady is of Guadalupe.

There are few things in Creation more beautiful than the story of Bernadette and Lourdes.

It is hard to say how I feel about the alleged Marian warnings. Warnings about failed potato crops are part of the original LaSalette accounts. Very sad. I am dubious about the more apocalyptic accounts of the LaSalette apparitions that Melanie wrote later in life. Fatima is problematic too. At what point do we have words to the wise from Lucy of which the Church did NOT approve?

But the main point is that these apparitions are both passe as vehicles of heavenly admonitions.

It's all hints and nods and discreet shakings of the white-veiled or blue-veiled or crowned head.

The worst has happened. Something that may or may not be part of the Third Fatima Secret. (I mean the REAL Secret, not the spoof put out by the so-called Roman authorities.) The apparent universal defection (to put it mildly) of what appears to be the Church of Christ. And poor old Lucy harming souls by hob-nobbing with the Beast and kissing his claws. And that cranky old Padre Pio.

Nothing any Lady from Heaven ever said in the apocalyptic warning line comes close to meeting the case of a so-called Church in which it is permissible that books be sold in vestibules of cathedrals in which it is claimed that the Lord Jesus Christ was (though the authors think this is all to His credit) guilty of behavior with one or both of the sons of Zebedee which could have gotten Him arrested in Texas at least up until the 1990s.

We don't need enigmatic warnings about vague chastisements from anyone. We live every moment of our blasted, stunted lives with THE chastisement. Vatican II. The Abomination of Desolation. The New Springtime.

It makes so much more sense to ditch the questionable sauces and get back to the meat of advertence to prophetic Marian locutions. It's such a shame that the Magnificat is so little known among Catholic laity. "He has cast the mighty from their thrones..." (Do I spot a budding sedevacantist?) That's pretty revolutionary talk for a young girl from the Galilee sticks! What thrones? Whose thrones? Herod's? Caesar's? Annas's?

What we ought to contemplate now is the fact that the Queen of Wisdom said such a thing knowing that she would have been subject to arrest and detainment in the Fortess Antonia if any of the dutiful minions of her Lawful Superiors has overheard her. (And her Elder Zachariah apparently was in no shape to say, "Shhhh!")
