I have not been able to find the letter that is referenced in the article. However, that does not render the magazine useless, nor of little weight. Being unable to find it moreover, does not mean it is non-existent. Many important docuмents throughout history have been lost, destroyed, buried, etc. The internet can give us a lot, but it cannot give us everything

You two are unbelievable lmao. The Angelus claimed that +Thuc published the letter. Where did he publish it? When? Why did The Angelus not provide a single direct quote from the letter?  Not a single copy of such an important letter was was ever made? Do you seriously believe that this "letter" would not have been plastered EVERYWHERE in Trad world if it had actually existed? This is alleged to have happened less than 50 years ago. Don't act like it would've had to have been copied by hand, packed in a wooden trunk and then brought across the Atlantic by boat

Hence, it is a publication well-known by the Archbishop, and he deemed it trustworthy enough to have his own name associated with it. All of the editors were priests, too.
These issues contained news, and pious and theological articles. It was a way to console and inform traditional Catholics, during a time when the SSPX was not infiltrated with modernists.
I do not see any reason why we should say the testimony of the article in question would have been given with a desire to deceive, or an ability to be deceived, considering the high reputation of this magazine, and the learned and pious people running it. Additionally, reading the whole issue helps one to understand the context in which certain things were said.

Are you aware that Archbishop Lefebvre is directly quoted a number of times as saying he saw with his "own eyes", in a publication of Chiesa Viva, a picture of Cardinal Liénart decked out in Freemasonic regalia? Are you aware that it was discovered that no issue of Chiesa Viva ever contained a picture of Liénart as just described? Uncanny similarity

You are worse than TMZ and the Inquirer all rolled into one.  You spread unproven stories as if they were facts.  Lord have mercy, you are pathetic.

I said I was not here to argue. Please respect that.

As far as I can tell, avoiding the +Thuc line is the most prudent course of action.

We are all responsible for our own souls, and I have merely presented information here for others to consider. I am not an authority, nor am I imposing it on anyone.

If my posts bother you this much, feel free to put me on ignore.

God bless.

No.  You act like a snake who bites in the middle of the night and then quietly slithers off.  You spread unproven calumnies and then don't want to debate.  You are scuм.
