Apparently he was re-ordained in June, 2011.

Well, he was ordained.  A "re-ordination" is a sacrilege.

Yes, as I was writing that I knew it wasn't accurate at the very least, but I couldn't think of the right term...conditionally?

  • Well, in the case of Fr. Oswalt, he was actually just ordained.  He was not ordained conditionally, because you only conditionally perform a sacrament when you're unsure if it has already been validly conferred.  Fr. Oswalt was certain that his ordination was invalid in the Novus Ordo, and so was Bishop Pivarunus.  So he was ordained absolutely.

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).
