It's an extension of what's in Apocalypse 18:2
Wasn't it St. Phillip Neri who had a cat on the altar when he offered Mass?
Can't rightfully call them "altar" dogs either since the NO doesn't use altars.
Question: In your traditional chapel, how do you handle those who come to Mass in shorts, halter tops, for an example? Our chapel has a very large sign with dress code. The bulletin states as well. But is your dress code being enforced and how?
NOT on the altar! That would be a sacrilege! He did, indeed, have a pet cat which slept in his cell and for which he provided after his death.
