    Abp. Marcel Lefebvre in 1976:

"Some say the Council was Good and
has Good [in it]... but that is Not True!"

Here's an explosive internet exclusive: The Restoration Radio Network has unearthed and broadcast a speech given by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre (1905-1991) on May 11, 1976 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in which he lays out the modernist heresy, its origins, and the beliefs of modernists which contradict Roman Catholicism. He exposes the Novus Ordo movement to establish a false religion rooted in Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ and Naturalism, which solemnly began with the bogus Second Vatican Council in 1962.

Naming names, times, places, and affiliations, Lefebvre lays out the foundations for his counter-revolution. Listen closely and hear the first-hand perspective of conversations the archbishop had to endure from the modernists who have sought to destroy the Church through the reforms of the Council; a council which the Archbishop clearly says cannot be viewed as good in any way.

This content of Abp. Lefebvre's speech is of great historical value, especially when viewed in contrast with what has been said by Bp. Bernard Fellay, who has been the Superior General of the Lefebvrian Society of St. Pius X since 1994: "We go along with about 95% of the Second Vatican Council" (Interview with La Liberté, May 11, 2001; quoted in DICI n. 6, May 18, 2001; see Fr. Basilio Meramo's Letter to Bp. Fellay of April 9, 2009).

The following is a list of some select quotes from Abp. Lefebvre's conference:

"I refuse to contribute to the destruction of the Church, because now, they are destroying the Church. I refuse to go to my death, and before Jesus Christ the Judge, and hear that ‘you destroyed the Church.’ I refuse. I refuse to give a contribution to the destruction of the Church."
"Some say the Council was good and has good, but only the reform is bad. But that is not true! Why? Because when Rome gave the reform, they always say the reforms they do, they do in the name of the Council. In the name of the Council! It is evident that all reform came from the Council, and if the reform is bad, it is impossible that the Council is good and all reforms are bad. Because that is the authentic interpretation of the Council by Rome!"
"...The Holy See and the nuncios, they are against the Catholic State in the name of the Council! In the name of the Declaration of Religious Freedom! The first time I heard this, I was in Colombia. I read in the paper, when I was in Colombia, that there is a change in the constitution of the Republic of Colombia. They changed the first article, which said that only the Catholic religion is recognized by the Republic of Colombia. The Secretary of the Episocpal conference said, 'In the name of the declaration of religious freedom, we ask the President of Colombia to remove his supreme act (of removing the Catholic religion as supreme) for his Consitution.' And within two years, he says, 'We ask, in the name of the Holy See to the President of Colombia, to change his article in the declaration of the Constitution.' ...I don’t accept the Council! Because you are destroying the Catholic State in the name of the Council! It is sure! It is evident!"
"This Council gives the same rights to error as to Truth! That is impossible."
"This new faith, it is a new religion. It is a protestant religion. That is a fact! How is it possible that the Pope gives the authorization to this change? How is it possible that the Pope can sign this constitution [on liturgical change]? It is a deep mystery."
"If I take the position of the Council, I am betraying my Mother Church."

In this 1976 conference, one can easily detect a good-willed, pious archbishop trying to hold on to the True Faith, yet being totally (and understandably) perplexed at being faced with an impossible situation. He is clearly struggling to make sense of it all, to reconcile what he knows to be the True Faith with what is coming from the apparent Catholic Church.

Though we are happy to share this historically significant speech, we wish to emphasize that we do not agree with the so-called "recognize-but-resist" position taken by Abp. Lefebvre regarding the Novus Ordo Church, the Council, and the papal claimants since 1958.

While we commiserate with the archbishop' struggle, we cannot in any way endorse or tolerate the false solutions he ended up espousing, positions at grave odds with Catholic teaching on the authority and infallibility of the Pope, the Magisterium, and the Holy See at large. See below for more detailed information and explanations.
"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world."
