  •   Is it possible that the reason why there are sodomite/pedophile priests is that there was no calling for them and they tried to have it by force?
It may be that if one doesn't have the grace of a life-long celibacy and tries to remain so inspite of not being called to it, his desires take an unnatural shape.

He is not called to it, but he wants it stubbornly. he tries to curb his desires while he doesn't have the necessary grace, he avoids women, then he ends in desiring children.

I may be wrong, since we believe that God always gives you the graces you need. But I am not sure if He really does so when you want to do the opposite of His will. " I want to be a priest/husband/monk/teacher  etc. even if your will is sth else"!

  • Yes, spouse.  If a hireling forces his way in against God's will, he will not normally be given the graces he needs to do the work for which he was not intended.

It is sometimes much more sinister.

I know of one priest (I won't mention name), he admitted to molesting children.

He also admitted that he didn't even believe in God and was atheistic.
He only became a priest so that he could be near children.

His name should be mentioned, if this is 100% factual, for the greater good of protecting children.  The predators rely on the silence of good people.

There was something about an Irish priest in America I think. He was boasting about his crimes. Purest evil! Sickening! Was his name O`Brien?
