No stop making stuff up. Go read the quote by Bishops Williamson and Pope Pius.
Just because you do not understand me, doesn't mean I am making things up.

AND because you are more innocent than most people and have a priest who leads with strictness  I am not going to explain it to you.

Now will you be so kind as to tell us why you started this discussion in the first place?  What was your motivation?  If you know women will take it the wrong way are you culpable for posting it anyway?

It is very similar to a woman dressing immodestly and saying too bad deal with it.  When you post stuff that you know will lead to these type of discussions and then say deal with it is just a discussion.   Yes Men and women are different.  Men are provoked by actions and women are provoked by words.

Eve was provoked by the words the serpent used.  Adam was provoked by the actions Eve used.  Meditate on that.

I know,  I should just get off the internet.  And you should just hide in your house with no electricity.

I do feel really bad for men, because I can escape the words much easier than you can escape the actions. Prayers for all.

Quote
By the way, the opposition to public and competitive female involvement in sports is distinct from the proper and healthy physical education of the same.

Competition breeds masculinity, while the public character of organized sports is opposed to feminine virtues like modesty and reserve.

You have a tendency to falsely equate different things like you did with painting and sports. It's very frustrating reading your posts because you have not changed since you started posting.

If a women has feminist tendencies she must root it out. Dressing immodesty in public is very different from making a post that can help others reflect on themselves. If the truth scandalises someone it is still better for the truth to be spoke. You have once again done another false equivalency.

so yes I know a lot.  Yes some men can play sports for fun without lusting after a girl.
...irrelevant. The question is whether or not you know men who play physical sports with women while simultaneously avoiding viewing their bodies. I said nothing about actually committing a sin of lust

Quote
I think the real question may be is there really a difference between admiring something beautiful like a painting and perverting it into something impure?
A person can look at a painting of a flower and say that is beautiful, but someone can also imagine that flower into something perverse. Which is correct? Is it just a flower or is it perverse?
...what on earth does this have to do with anything? Unless you are admitting that men will be staring at the bodies of women they are playing physical sports with/against, and you are equating the female body with a painting of a flower?
If so, that's just Theology of the Body nonsense. No, were not allowed to appreciate the "natural beauty" of someone's body because it's created by God, and it's good, and we should be able to do so without sinning or whatever. That's rubbish. We should keep custody of the eyes because if you are a normal, healthy man all you're doing is opening yourself up to temptation.

Probably my favorite quote regarding custody of the eyes is from St. Gregory the Great, which goes, "It is not lawful to behold what is not lawful to covet". With regards to a woman's body, unless it is your wife's (i.e. licit to "covet"), then you have no right to look at it

That's a beautiful quote. So much for us all to meditate on.

Gray, staring at flowers is not a temptation to sin. Staring at a body could very well be a mortal sin. Huge difference.
