  • I try to read the Bible every night and last night I read 1 Corinthians 14:34-35. I was wondering when all of this changed in the post-Vatican II era. From what I've read of the Vatican II docuмents (not many, but some), women were still forbidden to even be in the Sanctuary. In Musicam Sacram, for example, it states that if women are members of the choir, the choir should be moved to outside of the Sanctuary.

How does the post-Vatican II Church justify female lectors, altar servers etc. when St. Paul directly forbade it?

(Please keep in mind, I ask as someone who is learning, so I apologize if my terminology isn't correct...)

  • Vatican II is the Great Apostasy, also warned about in the Bible, you shouldn"t go to their evil service.
Seek out a Mass of All Times that is not even connected with Vatican II.  Stay as far away from Vatican II as you can get.

You can keep the Faith better without Vatican II in your life.
    Please pray for my soul.

I completely and 100% totally agree with MyrnaM - Suffice to say that the New Order is straight from hell.

One thing about the V2 church that you will come to learn and accept as business as usual, is that they either say one thing then do the complete opposite or they proclaim the ambiguous as absolute rule.

"But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men." - Acts 5:29

The Highest Principle in the Church: "We are first of all under obedience to God, and only then under obedience to man" - Fr. Hesse

Trying to remember right something I read over at CA.   The "justification" for allowing women to tramps around in the Sanctuary came in the form of St. Paul forbidding it because it was a "custom" of that time, which no longer applies to our time.  Of course, this was followed by "the Church approves of it".

  • LM, can some liberals claim that Priestly ordaining for only men is just a "custom" from the past and therefore can be changed so that women can also be ordained?

I've come across stuff in different places about the ordination of women.  I cannot be totally sure, but I think something along that line has been brought up.

Does that include diocesan TLM's? My only other option is an independent parish and both times I went there, the people were kind of offputtish...

  • You are not supposed to attend Mass for the people but for God.  Choose the Mass that He is pleased with.

Never compromise your worship to God, this is my advice, we all have a freewill in the end.
    Please pray for my soul.
