  • I received a promotional email about this last night and it's worth looking at:

    And yes, I know he's a sedevacantist.

  • Muchas gratias, Canute! I like how Fr. Cekada presents the facts in a non-confrontational manner. Too often, videos supporting the traditionalist viewpoint jump straight to attacking abuses in the NO or the modern popes, and hence immediately put NO attendees on their guard. This might actually be a video series I could share with my NO friends!

And yeah, he's a sedevacantist, but he speaks the truth about the New Mass. As Bp. Williamson pointed out in one of his recent Eleison Comments, truth and beauty belong to us Catholics, no matter what the source (he was using the example of the music of Brahms, a Protestant). Which is not to say that Fr. Cekada is not Catholic, of course he is; my point being that even if we don't see eye to eye with someone on everything, we can nonetheless support them when they speak the truth (one example would be when Matthew posted those videos by a Protestant that supported Creation).

Of course, you already know that, Canute; I just like to see my thoughts on the screen.

Fr. Cekada lives for controversy.
It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

  • Perhaps, but it might be safer to NOT make that assumption...

It's not an assumption, it's verified with at least a decade of specific actions.
