Ergo, POSITIVE DOUBT EXISTS IF THE VERNACULAR IS USED. PERIOD.
So Latin MUST be used in any ordination, otherwise positive doubt exists?
What about the Eastern Catholic churches? I think that they have never used Latin for their ordinations, but I could be wrong.
Assuming the latin prayers are valid, then the ordination IS STILL DOUBTFUL, because all new-rite Bishops are doubtful. Their ordination rites are completely different. Can't compare to the Latin Rite.
So there must be a an older Church teaching somewhere which states that all ordinations in the Latin rite must be said in Latin, or ordination is doubtful or invalid. Do you know if such a Church teaching exists?
