  • I'm currently being challenged as to what is wrong with the VCII docuмent Dei Verbum.

    Quote
Have you ever read Dei Verbum?  (That is a rhetorical question, because I know you would never read a VCII docuмent.)

Where is there as clear an explanation of the origin and transmission of Divine Revelation ever stated in the Church?

No, it is nothing new, but it is stated in a more powerful way in one docuмent/place than ever before!!

IF it were read, understood and believed, it would KILL the "spirit of Vatican II"!!

AGAIN, I am not interested in discussing VCII until you actually read this docuмent (and it is a short one).

I have read Dei Verbum, contrary to his claim. I have some thoughts but wanted to get your opinions as well. Thanks.

    Here is the docuмent:

  • That's not what the liberals say, though!  They say, "look at the original schemas, the docuмents that were drafted at the beginning of the Second Vatican Council."  Look, they say, "the Council 'rejected' those schemas, in favor the 'progressive' ones, which were the ones which got signed by Pope Paul VI."  Yes, they say, "the Church 'changed' her teaching!!"
