Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

Today I woke up and began preparing to write about Pius XII's Mystici Corporis Christi, and how it double-mindedly teaches both Feeneyism and salvation by implicit faith.

Remember dear readers, Raoul's strange habit of identifying subjectively incomprehensible distinctions as "double-mindedness."  The sin of injustice is evident.

  • I think you're reading way too much in this.  Were most of Pius XII's teachings weekly worded?  Absolutely.  Should he have stood up more strongly against the errors of the day?  Absolutely.  Was he a heretic?  Hardly.

There's no other way to understand "according to the flesh".  Pius XII CLEARLY refers to the brotherhood of man (since we're all children of Adam and Eve).  Christ died for the sins of all.  He took the sins of all upon Himself.  Therefore, Christ on the cross was taking the place of and standing in vicariously for each human being.  Therefore, Christ was united to each human being in some way.

So the Dimond brothers attack John Paul II for having taught that Christ was united "in a certain way to every man."  In point of fact, He WAS !

Caminus, it just seems like one ad hominem quip like this after another.  If you have nothing constructive to contribute, then please just don't post.  There's no need for this whatsoever.

  • This kind of drivel doesn't even deserve a response.
