If kids aren't *explicitly* warned about this specific danger -- witchcraft -- there is a very real danger they will fall for this one of satan's traps.

I find it appropriate to quote my response to the article in that OP here, as it's addressing the same issue:

    ........

The rise of such “influencers” reminds me of these words from Hilaire Belloc, interwoven with my own commentary:

    Quote
The isolation of the soul means a loss of corporate sustenance; of the sane balance produced by general experience, the weight of security, and the general will. The isolation of the soul is the very definition of its unhappiness. But this solvent applied to society does very much more than merely complete and confirm human misery.

(Europe and the Faith, pgs 185-186)

A society or a civilization that does not uphold Catholicism as the True Faith will naturally inculcate this “isolation of the soul” among its inhabitants, because these souls will have been raised isolated from God, the only One who can give our souls true peace.

    Quote
God has instilled our souls with desires which find their gratification not in this world. Give a soul all the joys and treasures of this world, and it will not be satisfied, for the simple reason that God has created the soul for Himself. He alone is capable of satisfying its longings.

(St. Jean Marie Vianney, Sermon for the Ninth Sunday After Pentecost)

This lacking of the Social Reign of Christ the King, then, is the cause of so much misery in our world today, on the societal level and in the individual level.

Secularism leaves man in a spiritual void:

    Quote
The soul will not remain in the void. If you blind it, it will grope. If it cannot grasp what it appreciated by every sense, it will grasp what it appreciates by only one. On this account, in the dissolution of the corporate sense of and of corporate religion you had successive idols set up, worthy and unworthy, none of them permanent.

(Europe and the Faith, pg 186)

This spiritual anarchy leads to the creation of new sects:

    Quote
But since humanity cannot repose in such a stage of anarchy, we may well believe that there is coming, or has already begun, yet another stage, in which the lack of corporate support for the soul will breed attempted strange religions: witchcrafts and necromancies.

(Europe and the Faith, pg 187)

Now we see the rise of these “attempted strange religions”, popularized by such “influencers”. Neopaganism has been around for some time at this point, but it is becoming increasingly mainstream and accepted.

According to those who dabble, there’s been a recent movement toward witchcraft as young people find themselves seeking the spiritual but avoiding mainstream religions.

Satan is a clever devil. This pro-witchcraft crap is literally all over the major streaming sites.

    Quote
“WitchTok content is so relevant right now because we learned last year we can’t control [things],” 33-year-old Adam Wethington, who reads tarot cards

So, rather than get control of their vices and repent of their sins, these young people are turning to demons for the illusion of "control".

    Quote
Such practices certainly have a real draw on people, directing them to look inward or to deities or powers other than the Christian God, offering them the promise of dangerous abilities and a tantalizing sense of worth.

Well, it's no wonder when you have every single flavor of Protestantism out there diluting the Gospel and turning Christ into a weak figure rather than the summation of all Power and Truth. Not to mention the number Vatican II has done on the Church...

    Quote
“I was always kind of artsy, different and non-conformist,” Kathy explained. “Wicca attracted my interest because it appealed to those facets of my personality. It was certainly non-conformist, and I liked the mystery surrounding it.

Sure, be "non-conformist" by conforming yourself to a set of superstitious rituals and rites. I'm sure Satan will find a nice way to make you conform to his will anyway.

    Quote
I hugged my knees to my chest and gasped as a legion of what can only be described as black demons encircled my head, all laughing at me. I started screaming out my Wiccan spells to rebuke them, hoping they would disappear. That only made things worse. The laughter escalated with each spell I tried.

"This man casteth not out the devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knowing their thoughts, said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself shall be made desolate: and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand." [Matthew 12:24-25]

Thank God she had the grace to pray for help. Pretty soon we're going to have to dive into the Church Fathers on these people in refuting this nonsense.
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

  • When I was in a gifted program many many years ago in grade school , they were trying to brainwash us with Greek Mythology.   Didn’t know much about Christianity at that time.  When I briefly went to college and took western civilization , they were brainwashing us with Egyptian false religion about sun gods and goddesses.
May God bless you and keep you
