 Hidden inside Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system software is a keylogger spyware module that records the keystrokes and voices of users and sends this private data straight to the mother ship.
Another creepy “feature” of a software platform that was originally designed by billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates, the Windows 10 keylogger add-on was supposedly “intended for testing, not day-to-day use.” And yet the latter is what it became, though most users have no idea that it exists.
Microsoft reluctantly admitted when pressed that “we may collect voice information” and “typed characters” from users without their knowledge or expressed consent. We now know that the Washington-based corporation is doing precisely that.
“I said that ‘I seriously doubt that the worst spyware features will remain in the finished product,’” wrote PC World contributing editor Lincoln Spector. “I was wrong.”
The Windows 10 “speech, inking, typing, and privacy FAQ” section admits that when a user interacts with a Windows device by “speaking, writing (handwriting), or typing, Microsoft collects speech, inking, and typing information – including information about your Calendar and People (also known as contacts) …”
Microsoft’s Privacy Statement reiterates this, though it contains all sorts of other information in the form of 17,000 words that requires some extra time and effort to fully peruse.

Microsoft is guilty of committing treason with communist China
The good news is that the Windows 10 keylogging function can be disabled, or so it would appear. Clicking Settings on the Start menu’s left pane, followed by clicking the Privacy button, a Windows 10 user will find a selection box to turn it off – all the way at the bottom, of course.
“Once in Privacy, go to the General section and Turn off Send Microsoft info about how I write to help us improve typing and writing in the future,” Spector explains.
“While you’re there, examine the other options and consider if there’s anything else here that you may want to change.”
To stop Windows 10 from collecting your speech, you must also go to the Speech, inking and typing section and click Stop getting to know me. This same area contains options for restricting Microsoft from collecting data from your camera, microphone, contacts and calendar.
“I wish I had that capability in Android,” Spector notes, suggesting that smartphones are prone to similar spying without the option to disable it.
It is important to note that Microsoft is a close ally of communist China, having worked with Huawei, the communist Chinese corporation that President Donald Trump banned from the United States through an executive order.
As we reported, Huawei works closely with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to spy on people through technology and artificial intelligence (AI). The company is also under investigation, or was, for its participation in the Iran nuclear arms agreement.
Microsoft temporarily ceased its partnership with Huawei after Trump’s executive order was signed, however the company later decided to continue selling its existing inventory of Huawei laptop computers at Microsoft stores.
The official Microsoft website proclaims with pride that the company deeply values its partnership with communist China and various communist Chinese corporations.
“Today, our most complete subsidiary and largest R&D center outside the United States is in China,” the website explains. “Microsoft boasts a robust partner ecosystem with 17,000 partners. For every RMB that Microsoft earns in China, Microsoft partners earn 16.”
Microsoft has also boasted that it is one of the major corporations responsible for “remaking the Chinese economy.” Meanwhile, Microsoft is quietly implementing spying technologies like this that would make even the most radical Chinese communist blush with envy.

Agreed. Linux is just as easy to use as Windows by now. Mint, Ubuntu, whatever you want. You can install it on a flash drive and run it off there just to try it before you install it. It comes with an office suite and other programs already installed, none of which costs a dime. Windows is an idea from the last century. Leave it in the 90s where it came from.

Thanks.  I have disabled everything, but I do want to keep my user and password auto-fills.  Passwords are a pain in the *** to maintain, especially those that require mixing lower and upper case, numbers and letters, and most of all, having to use a "special character".  I already had a lot of that stuff disabled, but I tightened things up a bit.

I like Linux in theory, but in practice, it, too, I find to be a PITA.  Sure, it runs quickly and elegantly, but all that having to download canonical this, and canonical that, and so on, too complicated for me.  As I always say, I was a network systems administrator when the only requirements for that were (a) knowing how to turn a computer on and (b) having a pulse.  The pulse part was optional   I went to the Novell center in McLean VA (where I was working at the time, financial company just down the road from the CIA), tried to take the first Novell Netware exam, plunked down $80, and failed it miserably.  There was no point in studying further.  I moved on from that kind of work.

I have a cheap Compaq on which I installed Linux, and I have basically "bricked" it from being able to scrub everything off and re-install Windows 7.  I'd like to set it up as a dedicated machine to run my Skype line --- right now I'm using a netbook, which is beyond lame --- and may end up having to spend $50-$100 to reinstall Windows, since I can't do it.  Anybody got any tips?

Without going into too much detail, just for starters, I have to comment --

You can't "brick" a PC. PCs use standard hard drives which are replaceable. "Bricking" is when you interrupt or do a bad job flashing the BIOS (the very lowest level of software in a device -- and the ONLY level of OS or operating software for many consumer electronics devices) so that the old low-level instructions are gone BUT ALSO the new version that you were upgrading to as well. So you have neither the old or the new, and you turn on the device and it has no low-level BIOS software to execute -- so you have a brick. Unless you can replace the flash ROM chip on the motherboard (which may require soldering) you are out of luck.

You can *always* format a PC and install a new operating system. Even if you destroyed a hard drive, you just buy a new one.

I meant "brick" in the sense of "it's useless to me and I can't do a software fix on it".  I see from your comments that this is not the standard definition, and perhaps I shouldn't have used the term so loosely.  I can surf some very basic internet on it, but anything that is the least bit complicated, can't do it.  I have neither the time nor the patience to try to download all the things I might need, and even then be in no better shape than when I started.  I have tried to reformat it, and it doesn't work.  Don't know what I'm doing wrong.  It may be something simple.

I have actually thought of getting a new hard drive and just starting from scratch.  This is a piece-of-dung cheapest Compaq imaginable, it doesn't even have built-in WiFi, I have to use a USB device for that --- whose bright idea was that in the year circa 2010?  I actually have a couple of hard drives from PCs that died on me --- when I have to retire a computer, I take it apart and throw every usable part into a storage box, in case I might ever find a use for it.  So I may see if either of those are compatible. 

I also have a fairly nice HP that I bought in 2006, and I have repurposed it to an entertainment server, to play audio and video through the TV set in our main room.  I have basically rebuilt that machine from scratch due to hardware failures, new motherboard, new hard drive, new video card, you name it, and taking into account its inherent limitations, it's actually the smoothest, most trouble-free, most elegant PC I own.  Playing MP3 and MP4 through Windows Media Player isn't exactly nuclear physics. 

If I can't fix the Compaq, I may just donate it to charity.  I have several machines here that aren't regularly used.  Planned obsolescence has seen to that.

As I have always used Macs I traded them in and upgraded to a newer machine. I did have quite old hard drives of the external variety that came to their end of usefulness.

You did very well at translating! I often use an app to sssist me as rust does set in. Reading more Polish these days, namely the Traditional Polish translation of Scripture, known as the Wujek Bible. Context helps as there are words used in an archaic form. 

For non native speakers Polish is a toughie. Then comes the non indo European Hungarian and whoa, what the hey?

It is unfortunate to read you are unable to find those online courses. Perhaps there are other alternatives?
