I banned WWSC for holding multiple accounts on CathInfo. He had another account, "phillips"
It's one of those things I have ZERO TOLERANCE for.
Those are the kind of "games" that ruin a forum. It basically turns the entire forum into the "Anonymous forum" -- where you can argue with yourself, make it look like your opinion is more popular, allow you to misbehave without "tarnishing" your main account, etc.

I won't allow any of those things on CathInfo.

Just think of all the things that might have annoyed you about WWSC, and all the things I let him get away with -- then consider that holding multiple accounts is why I banned him.

I can see everyone's IP address.
But more importantly, the software makes it stupidly easy for me to check for sock puppet accounts.
I simply click on your IP address and it will show me all member(s) who have used that IP address.
It's quite easy to use. Whenever I'm curious I can do this.

WWSC used a LOT of IP addresses over the months, but ChatGPT helped me block them all on my server:

I was going to post the list here, but I won't for ONE reason: I don't want him to be able to post that list into some kind of software, so it "always" gives him an address not in that list!

Those ones with the /24 will block 255 addresses in that range. He used many "ranges" of IP addresses, but I can easily block them all with just one line.

Long story short, it's going to be a huge pain in the butt for him to visit CathInfo now, because every time he hits one of these addresses, CathInfo is going to stop working for him. And, I have addresses going back to the first post he made on CathInfo.

This might affect TOR users, but -- just don't use TOR on CathInfo. It's easy. Why wear a ski mask if you're not looking to murder or rob someone?
