    • The modern internet, as most of us know, is a heavily-censored façade compared to what it was 20 years ago.

    I remember, in my youth, for good or ill, the sheer variety of sites online. Today, it's like there's only a handful of "platforms" with algorithm-filtered content and rare places like CI.

    This is unbelievable -- not literally, but I mean it's surprising.

    "climate change" if you click "show me ALL results" it says there are 1.06 BILLION results.
    Which fit on just 43 pages -- 422 total.

    WHICH IS IT? Where are the supposed 1.06 billion results, from CathInfo, Joe's blog, you name it? What's going on?


    This topic is supremely interesting to me, and dear to my heart, since I am fascinated by human nature, propaganda, and I've been on the Internet since the beginning so this video is RIGHT up my alley.

    • It's not just the evil G, but Bing as well.

    And it's a broader phenomenon -- how many actual websites and forums are there -- compared to CURATED, SOCIAL MEDIA SITES which have gatekeeper powers over everything that is posted/sold there.

    People don't sell things on websites anymore -- everyone goes to eBay, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist.

    99% of discussion takes place on just 8 websites -- Twitter, FB, Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok, and the other big Social Media sites.

    Aside from CI being privately owned/operated, the fact that all discussion has been funneled into these massive corporate platforms is why we are able to get away with some of the discussions we have here. That, and, Trad Catholics are such a statistical minority these days that our influence (outside of prayer) is negligible to the world.

    That was why 4chan caused so many problems 7-10 years ago because it was a private, anonymous board with virtually no content filtering and censorship. And that is a huge problem for TPTB. Today, those sites have been so compromised that they're not even on Big Tech's radar anymore.

    It's as she says in the video, there is no wild west in the internet anymore. It's been consolidated into huge platforms with a few outliers here and there (which are still linked to the large platforms). It's like the Great Reset's imagined "smart cities" in the digital "world".

    That's a good analogy. They want to get our BODIES out of the rural and even suburban areas, and into tall skyscrapers to live in "smart cities" where everything can be easily controlled and monitored. They have already *done* that in the virtual or online world, basically. Once you go to Facebook or Twitter, Big Brother is Watching You. It's a full-on dystopia.

    CathInfo is a old-fashioned bar that people can wander in to and talk about whatever they want -- provided they know about the bar. It's surrounded by about 10 miles of wilderness, so you have to know it's there AND want to get there. Normies won't be stumbling upon it, unless people talk about it on Social Media and the post isn't censored. It's basically "word of mouth" now -- no more search engine organic traffic, it would seem.

    • Both videos are insightful. I no longer become frustrated with low-info people. I used to think "Why don't they just look it up?" I now realize that that option is no longer viable. They simply CANNOT look it up if they don't already which precise terms, dates, places and or names involved to FIND the info.

    All they will get is the Party Line.

    • I don’t like iCloud.  I like plugging in my laptop. Also, I have to be always hooked to internet instead of being able to work offline. 

    Yes.  Many websites are being blocked.

    My phone will push liberal news outlets all day.  It pushes creepy creepy podcasts.  It knows what I listen to.

    Also, if I look up images of Jesus.  Much of the stuff coming up is demonic.
