I am not without compassion, because we all suffer the same weakneses from original sin.  But that does not change the fact that those who -by hook or by crook- could not bring themselves to take the red pill are enemies (to be prayed for, but enemies nonetheless: "He who is not with me is against me").

It is the same in all aspects of the world: Catholic crisis since V2, politics, economics, etc., because it all thends to the same to inevitable end: Heaven or hell.

Same as in the Church crisis:

When Catholic truth became detached from Catholic authority, causing people to choose one or the other (and this is the source of the struggle within the SSPX since the beginning), those who sided with authority did not want to be reminded that they were sacrificing truth.  They did not want to feel like Neo felt in the Matrix; they couldn't handle the extent of the betrayal (there's a cure for that, but its a digression for another time/thread).

But the converse was not true: Those who sided with truth were not disturbed by their break with Catholic authority, because when the authority was no longer conducive to salvation, it could no longer make a claim to obedience.

This phenomenon explains the venom of the accordists, who in order to assuage their consciences, declare the Resistance schismatics and practical sedevacantists, in order to maintain their own tranquility of mind.

Dom Laurenco Fleichman once reminded us (in his Open Letter to the Priests of Campos, after their capitulation to unCatholic authority), that those who will come to Tradition only because the legal obstacles have been resolved (i.e., apparent authority is preserved), and not for matters of faith (Catholic truth is preserved), will be very kind and sympathetic, but they will not possess the quality of faith which leads souls to martyrdom.

"Nature abhors a vaccuum."  So long as Lefebvre was alive, he was a magnet representing both catholic authority and Catholic truth.  When he was suspended, and later excommunicated, some left (too blue-pilled to comfortably side with Catholic truth, and betrayed as Dom Gerard et al in favor of authority).  When he died, his sons were left with a new choice (because of the continuing/worsening crisis in the Church): Only truth or only authority.

The history of the ralliement of the SSPX to modernist Rome is the history of those who, because of the cognitive dissonance resulting from having to choose between truth (red pill) and authority (blue pill) after the two split, chose the latter.

And just as the SSPX used to recognize its mere existence was a painful sting and living rebuke to modernist Rome, so too today does the Resistance represent that same painful sting and rebuke to an SSPX leaving Catholic truth for uncatholic authority, such that the the venom and injustice the SSPX used to receive from Rome (before they took the blue pill) is now administered by the SSPX itself to the Resistance (for the same reason).

Curiously enough, Dom Lourenço still vigorously supports the SSPX.

He is a Jєω, by the way. A SSPX priest, friend of his, said it in a sermon.

When I was running the Sodalitium Pianum Blog, I aired his letter rebuking the Campos priests, since it equally indicted Bishop Fellay's SSPX.

I was quite surprised to receive an email from him, demanding I take down the letter.

I don't know him personally, but I have seem some videos and heard some people talk about him. He is apparently a very aggressive person.  He doesn't seem to be charitable at all with those who dare to disagree with him.

Another strange fact is that, before 2012, he was officially under the authority of (then) Fr. Thomas Aquinas, OSB, but he lived alone in another town, running a book publishing company. It has always sounded very strange to me.

Even though the only factual bad thing about him is his strong support for the post-2012 SSPX (which is bad enough), he is a very strange character. He is certainly not what you would expect from a Benedictine monk.

What was his stated reason for his demand?

He was mad I was using his letter to point out the same arguments of +Fellay which he had condemned on Campos 10 years earlier.

Apparently, he didn’t want his letter turned against the Society.

Evidently he never shed the (((baggage))) of hypocrisy.

There is a type who hitch their wagons to the rail of authority (be it Menzingen. or captured Menzingen, it doesn’t matter) over truth, and they are in the majority.

Authority is authority.

Pilate didn’t understand truth (“Veritas?  Quid est veritas?”), but he certainly understood authority.

Its the most powerful magnet (more powerful than the magnet of truth) for most, because it is the more visible, and because it exists in concreto outside oneself, it gives the illusion of being the safer rail.

I can prove it:

If tomorrow Vigano were excommunicated, the “Vigano Effect” would cease that same day, and 80% of those lauding him today would abandon him tomorrow, precisely because this eminent and uncensored Archbishop maintains the aura of authority.

Lefebvre was an exception to the rule, and managed to hold most clergy and faithful after the excommunication (but the edifice had been shaken, with imperceptible hairline fractures everywhere, with charisma and leadership temporarily supplying substitute magnets for the authority which had been lost.  

When Lefebvre died, and those temporary magnets were lost, many were secretly drawn by authority, while pretending to still be drawn by truth.

This explains the “discrete but not secret” GREC meetings, and the entire ralliement.
