Yeah, the past week it's been really slow. It seems faster tonight.

I wrote a script to automate the harvesting of bot IP addresses. However, I still have to manually add them to the blacklist.
Nevertheless, I am able to catch WAY MORE of the bot traffic than I could before. My only worry is writing to my hard drive so often, I don't want to wear out my SSD hard drive (those things are rare/expensive now).
So I have to balance a bit.
But I added HUNDREDS of IP address *ranges* today. Each of those ranges I caught with three OR MORE IP addresses in the same block hitting my site at once -- which is never the case with legit traffic.

When you have
120.1.45.4
120.1.45.15
120.1.45.23
all hitting your site at the same time -- that's a commercial setup. That's not organic, personal, residential browsing.

Meanwhile, while I was running my script today I noticed I had over 11K connections on the router -- usually it's more like 4K. So yeah, that would explain the slowdown. Some bot net hit my site hard today. Probably AI related harvesting, but I'll never know for sure.

Yeah I had problems logging in today too. I don’t know why they chose this time to hit us with an attack, they missed the Consecrations by a month haha 😂. Oh well, I guess they can’t make it too obvious.
