Does anyone else here dislike the down-thumb function on this forum? I think that it gives haters and the emotional the easy opportunity to hurt other members reputation. It is anonymous, and perpetrators get off scot-free.

I wouldn't object to doing away with both of the thumb choices. I think they are both abused.

I like them, I am usually on when I am one-handed and holding a baby so they are very helpful when you just want to give a nod of approval or disapproval without necessarily having the means or inclination to comment.

Holysouls - I will give you an A for effort

. I like using the thumb-up, but when I weigh it all, I think that the down-thumb should go. If I had to give up the thumb-up to get it, I would. I think it would create more transparency.
