An interesting project. It would be useful for off grid communities, and save a lot of money when building a local network. How to connect to the wider world would be my next question, at least in trying to connect to likeminded people/for commerce.

https://reticulum.network/crypto.html says that it hasn't yet been externally audited, so hopefully thats done soon and we can see how it fairs.

Electronic Warfare is my last consideration for this, in terms of making the network hardware resilient to jamming etc. It's one thing to be independent of a infeastructure provider, another to provide connectivity in electronically adverse conditions. For instance getting radios with signal hopping ability to make it harder to jam and intercept.
