anyway, OP- get a Honda Civic manual, black, just spray paint the wheel covers flat black too (take them off first, idiot!), that's what you need to do for your first car. Toyota Camry for the wife/grandparents, Honda Civic in black for the poor/young boys/men... if you need a truck F/150 or aged Nissan Frontier/Toyota Tacos... if you live in some snowy hillsides i've heard/ guessed Subaru awd are alright but idk cuz i don't live in stupid places [jk i live in southern California and it sure is really stupid]

TL;DR; // just get a black Honda Civic in manual transmission // and make sure to ask your mechanic to check it out before you buy it

I am considering either a Honda Civic HX coupe or reluctantly buying a Chevy Metro. I am curious if I could get an average of 40 mpg on a Honda Civic HX. I know it would last longer than a Metro but I hear of metros getting 50 mpg which is pretty good. I am also considering manual steering to save gas. I am very curious if there are any good mods I could put on a Honda to increase mpg or any decent driving techniques that don't involve breaking the law.
