The deluxe model of robo-dog has sensors to detect increasing imbalance of CO2 exhalation, arrhythmias, metabolic indicators, eyeblink frequency, reflexes and grip strength, among other biomarkers, and transmits all this data to a proprietary AI, which in turn decides which oldsters are ready for culling....
"They" started out by convincing the vain youngsters that "smart" cloud-connected fit-bits would make them faster, stronger, more chiseled. Lo and behold, the beta versions have come home to roost.
