I mean in PM's.
Perhaps this goes along with the other PM glitch of a day or two ago. I haven't tried replying on the board with the quote feature.
It works fine.
Again, I want to point out --
1. The software is fine. It has been fine. It works 100% perfectly.
2. Sometimes, problems on the server (owned by the webhost I'm paying) cause the site to go down for a few seconds or a few minutes; an inconvenience mostly.
3. When the site goes down, whatever you were trying to do won't work. The whole site depends on a database: PMs, posts, topics, reading, viewing members, you name it. When the database goes down, it all goes down. There are no plain HTML webpages on CathInfo that don't access the database.
So, in conclusion, there was never a "PM glitch", just like there's not a "member viewing glitch", "give upvote glitch" or a "Crisis in the Church view topics" glitch. I'm the programmer; I would know. I haven't done anything with the site's programming in the past several months.
There is only ONE problem: CathInfo lives on a shared server, and the site stops working across-the-board whenever they take down the database server for any reason.
