  • I'm most interested in keeping copies of the Sacred Scriptures, theology textbooks, etc.  I can see a time in the not-too-distant future where they'd start "editing" the Sacred Scriptures to remove "hate speech".

That's a bit extreme, and not likely to happen anytime soon. At least compared to this:

Editing famous, trusted Catholic books to be more friendly to Vatican II and the Conciliar Church, which has already happened after TAN Books was sold off. Much more subtle, much less blatant.

Or how about Angelus Press editing their library (+Lefebvre books etc.) to be less contradictory with their new orientation?

That is BOOKS IN PRINT being altered, so older copies are more faithful than newer-bought copies. Imagine what they could do with digital books! And of course if you don't own a book, it could always go out of print and then you'll never get one. Which also happened with TAN books. Several controversial, less popular titles were dropped. A few more were dropped due to financial/legal issues, like Attila Guimaraes's book.

  • About two years ago Fr. Girouard strongly advised to get some good Bibles before the deep state would deem them as " Hate / Offensive/ Co nSpirzcy" etc.  That was about the time that big online sellers were banning controversial books too. Here in Canada, Bill C-36 , is about all this . I can easily foretell that scenario, where the Holy Bible will be banned.  Normal Catholic resourses made illegal. But of course, in British Columbia, pressure is on to include the " hol..cost" in the public school curriculums...!!  Pray+

  • Interesting thought. I know that cigarettes have been edited out of old movies (black and white era) for a while now.

I agree, I collected, bought books to start a timeless family library. I’m paranoid about not being able to access them online anymore.

  • I noticed that changes to Catholic bibles are being made.   “ Hail, Mary” replaced with “greetings”.  St Luke.
May God bless you and keep you
