UPDATE: I modified the Online Users section on the main page -- from now on, men show up as BLUE, women as PINK, and the androgynous show up as GREY.
A long time ago, I created "Men only" and "Women only" subfora.
I recently wrote a new feature for CathInfo which makes it easier for me (and my wife) to "identify" members as Men or Women. It only takes a couple of clicks now.
Click on your profile. If you are listed as group "Members" then CathInfo has you down as gender-androgynous!
In this thread, you can tell me which sex you are so I can rectify that. (on this forum we only believe in two,
male and female.)
Once I update your profile, everyone will know that minor tidbit of your identity. Hooray for being anonymous, but I don't like having my sex being unknown.
If you think that people merely knowing your sex will allow them to identify you, I have just a few words for you:
GET OVER YOURSELF! You're not as important as you think you are. I'm here to say, you blend in MUCH BETTER than you'd ever believe. You're practically invisible, trust me.
Seriously -- there are 7.4 billion people in the world. Knowing that I'm male just narrows it down to about 3.5 billion. Give me a break!
Even if you posted some super-secret or confidential info that Fr. X only told to one or two people, it still wouldn't matter if you identify as Male or Female on CathInfo. He might figure out who you are, but it will be because you posted confidential information that no one else knew. THAT will identify you to him, not your gender identity. So the real issue is what you post on CathInfo.
