    Do you recall the episode several years back when Mel Gibson was drunk? Google it.

    My point: such raving does little to no good. Everyone  inclined to agree with you already knows it, and those who disagree are well-brainwashed and will think you're a nut. End result: no good is done.

    I'm talking about extreme talk. I can't really give examples here; you'll have to use your common sense.

    Like I said above: BROWSE THE FIGHTING ERRORS SUBFORUM to see all the many, many things you can "speak about openly here". None of those have been flagged. Apparently it's only the worst explicit language that triggers a problem.

    And when in doubt, go ahead and post it for crying out loud. We'll deal with problems as they arise.

    P.S. Just because something is a direct quotation -- an enemy is saying something -- doesn't mean it's OK! The thread in question was quite explicit -- but it was in the words of one of the bad guys. No matter, the words are still able to trigger a response.

    Yes, I remember Mel was drunk and he ranted about the Jєωs in Hollywood. When you brought Mel up it immediately reminded me of gladius_veritatis for some reason. I worry that this is the first step and as time goes by the censorship will get worse and worse, as is happening elsewhere on the internet, until only liberal sites are allowed with the token kosher Jєω-boot-licking The American Conservative for those who are half-way sane.

    I don't admire him ONE BIT for getting drunk and raving like that, and I completely agree with him (and what he said) about the JQ. Especially as regards the wars of the 20th century, etc.

    He gives us all a bad name. His behavior was not necessary, not even "for the cause" of educating people. The people we claim to want to help are UTTERLY TURNED OFF by such tactics.

    Other than the sinfulness of the drunkenness I admired his ranting. And I am sure many other people did despite the pearl-clutching. But what we are facing is an existential threat. They do not want Cathinfo or any other site like it to exist. This is a warning shot. Your name is public. People will go after your livelihood and your family (didn't something like this happen already where a disgruntled poster tried to get you fired from your work and he used your website as evidence against you?) to attempt to get your website shut down. I believe if your website ever made it into the mainstream consciousness it would get shut down quickly (I think the obscurity of it has protected it).

    • Quite frankly, a trad Catholic man who is single should own and run a trad Catholic forum through his own server, if he know how to do all of that stuff. Only such man is fearless about free speech because he has nothing to lose but his own soul.
