What does the Hide Button Do?

Hide and ignore are the same thing. The word "IGNORE" wouldn't fit on that little red button as easily as "HIDE". This is also the reason the green button says "VIEW" rather than "UNHIDE" or "UNIGNORE".


I like the green button read button thing as well.  I think it is a really good function to have.  

The "ignore" button seemed unpleasant to me.  Subjectively the word seemed unpleasant.  I also like that we are not tagged with many "ignores" or "hides" for all to see.  I'm sure the topic itself is debatable and I certainly do not insist on my opinion.  But that is my opinion FWIW.  It could be due to my sensitiveness and insecurity more than for any good reason.

What are you guys afraid of?   I promise you I won't be offended or anything if you click on the red HIDE button right above these words.  

Go ahead!  Try it!  You might like it!  And then, after about 5 or 6 seconds, when you realize you can't stand the suspense of not seeing this post anymore, you can go ahead and click the green VIEW button that took the place of the red HIDE button.  

In fact, you can do the whole process TWICE in one minute!
