Good to know for fear someone may be spying on you, but it is sinful to do it yourself.

Another good reason to keep my "stupid" phone.  Old style flip that does not have internet access.  No camera either.  No phone is spy "proof" I'm sure, but it's not so easy on the old ones from what I can tell.  These "smart" phones are too da** smart for me!
