How To See Post Stats?
« on: February 06, 2021, 09:23:52 PM »
LOL :P

Sorry, but I don't know where to post this and I couldn't seem to make a new thread in General Discussions.

I can see up and down vote totals at my profile page but I can't see which posts they pertain to.

Do I have to pull up each and every post I have made to see if it was upvoted or downvoted?

Thanks!

yes, but you won’t have to try too hard on your downvotes, since you only have one, and I know that you know which post that was for.
For the up votes you’ll just have to look at every post you have made. Personally, I think it would not be worth the effort (wasted) as you can really never know the true motivation for upthumbing or downthumbing.
Better to spend the time saying a Rosary, as I should be doing right now.

You have one downvote. I hate to say it, but you can't be that thin-skinned when participating in any online discussion group. You *will* have adversaries and even enemies.

Don't believe me? Ask Our Lord. He was holier, better, and more perfect than you, and He found plenty of enemies.

No one is going to participate in CI or any other forum and get 0 downvotes. Ain't gonna happen.

Best to grow some thick skin, and not let it bother you.

I do use the upvote/downvote ratio as ONE signal or metric for "do they belong here?"

But like I said -- it's a gross metric; you have to have a seriously high % of downvotes compared to upvotes. And even then, I don't ban people just for that. There have to be other problems as well for a member to get banned. A great number of downvotes could just mean they have unpopular opinions...

Okay....
I never complained about getting a downvote. LOL  :)
I was just trying to find out which post it was on and how to find it.
Then I found that post and shared on that thread that it didn't bother me as I'm just here trying to learn from and share with others.
One of the ways we learn from each other is by disagreeing so I was curious what they disagreed with.
I see that as a good thing and it doesn't bother me at all.
"As iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another."
Like I said in that post (but you probably didn't see it) this isn't a popularity contest.
God bless!
