Thank you to who ever lets me know the steps to posting a YouTube video to CathInfo.  :smile:

1. Go to a youtube video and right click on the video and click "copy embed code"

2. Then on the cathinfo post page type in [youtube][/youtube].

3. Then right click between the brackets and click paste so you paste the embed code between [youtube] and [/youtube]

4. Then delete everyrthing you pasted except for the URL of the video. You must also delete the quotation marks surrounding the URL.

5. then finish your post and you should be able to post a video. There might be an easier way to post youtube videos but this is how I do it and it works for me.

1) "Embed" the video from youtube.


2) Once you copy that link, you should have something similar to this:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/b0cRp_LxgYE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>


3) Then, you just need the https highlighted part here. Only what is between the quotation marks. So copy it:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/b0cRp_LxgYE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It looks like this now:

https://www.youtube.com/embed/b0cRp_LxgYE


4) Then just insert that link here between the [youtube] and the [/youtube]:

[@youtube]https://www.youtube.com/embed/b0cRp_LxgYE[/youtube]

But remove the @ symbol from above, so it is only [youtube]. I just added the "@" symbol so you could actually see the code.


The functioning link should appear so:

[youtube]https://www.youtube.com/embed/b0cRp_LxgYE[/youtube]

TWO EASY STEPS

1) Take the youtube URL and change the "watch?v=" into "embed/"

2) Surround the URL with this tag: [youtube]  [/youtube]
