I know that CathInfo is very dedicated to not in any way playing nice with Modernism, NeoModernism, NOism, Conciliarism, etc. I know that religious liberty is seen as the Enlightenment heresy that it is here. I know the NO is given no quarter. I know that these ideas of Pope Benedict being a closet trad are laughed at.

And that's why I'm here to post. I hope that the few people who don't like that "FE's Walty" is here will see that I'm serious about Catholicism and am here for the same reasons as everyone else.

I expect to see more people like Walty showing up here. The situation on FE right now is that there are two distinct groups who see themselves as traditional Catholics and they do not mean the same thing by it. These groups are in constant conflict. One of these groups consists of people who would fit in pretty well here on CI. I can imagine that some of them will tire of the unending debate and prefer a forum where they feel that they are among like-minded people.

I suggest taking guitarplucker off the unofficial "welcoming committee" as well as any others who seem to treat FE members who post here as an alien invasion. There are significant numbers of people who would make good members of CathInfo and chasing them off, the way Mithrandylan recently was, is not to anyone's benefit.

I would worry about giving Matthew advice on how to run his site. Earlier I said "Time for you to be banned." That didn't go so well for me.

There are tons of people who post here who also post on FE. You see me criticizing them?

In case people forgot Mith began baiting me early in the thread. I don't feel sorry for him. Mith was posting on this site for months and I didn't even pay any attention to him.

And the comments to Walty were after he attacked me.

Nice way to cast yourselves as victims of my maliciousness. Only a fool would buy it.

I could care less if Walty, Mith and CollegeCatholic post here. Actually might be healthy because some good threads will come from it.

Anyhow, my suggestion about taking you off the welcoming committee was tongue in cheek because there isn't really a welcoming committee. I thought this was obvious enough that it did not need a smiley. But if Matthew wants to ridicule or scold me for it, that is his right.

Belloc, you seem to have taken my comment as sarcasm. It was not. I sincerely meant that it was a model of a welcoming post and I gave you a thumbs up for it.

I have to agree with gp on this one, all this victimization crap is getting old already, you guys neeed to man-up and stop whining already.
