No, I prefer people who stick to Church teaching. Whether it comes in the exquisite prose of a master writer or peasant speak.

Normally converts keep a low profile, and don't position themselves in authority over other Catholics. I notice many Jews who falsely convert to the Church scale the heights pretty quickly.

You can't deal with folk who adhere to a postion but refuse to support it empirically and who ignore every relevant and disturbing point you bring to the various issues under discussion.Or worse, the disturbing issues are whitewashed in pharisaical thought and legalistic obfuscation.

I feel the same as you. I think FE has become a place for Neo-Trad NOers as you said, a kind of "Ecclesia Dei" forum. It is a pity, as it used to be a much more interesting and tradicional place in the past. But then the heavy weights left, they realized what kind of mentality was already growing there. Not to mention the ones who became heretics, are not banned and keep posting there out of respect for their old membership!

It's funny how posting a "The Office" character as your avatar is seen as some sort of mortal sin, yet Iuvenalis has Bill Murray as his avatar *on this forum* and no one has attacked him yet.

and, who is attacking Walty now? if Walty was teh same fellow that came here a few yrs ago and had that Office avatar, seems like no one really attacked him......we discussed the show, not the avatar, if memory is serving me right....

Guitarplucker has been kind of a jerk, but other than that everyone has been really nice.

I was the one with The Office avatar a couple years back and there was a person or two who insinuated that it was a mortal sin to watch the show, but (unlike guitarplucker) I don't find it helpful to generalize an entire forum based off of what one or two people have to say.

I don't think anyone at FE would be surprised to hear me say that I've been pretty upset with the way that things have been going at that forum.  I don't like when people come over here and say things they wouldn't say at FE, but this isn't the case here.

I know that CathInfo is very dedicated to not in any way playing nice with Modernism, NeoModernism, NOism, Conciliarism, etc. I know that religious liberty is seen as the Enlightenment heresy that it is here.  I know the NO is given no quarter.  I know that these ideas of Pope Benedict being a closet trad are laughed at.

And that's why I'm here to post.  I hope that the few people who don't like that "FE's Walty" is here will see that I'm serious about Catholicism and am here for the same reasons as everyone else.
