  • Since Fr. Kramer has posted these things publicly, I have a right to defend my good name, and set the record straight.
(I also sent this text to his e-mail address, which I have on file)

The cowardly blackguards at cathinfo.com banned me WITHOUT EVEN INFORMING ME THAT I WAS BANNED OR GIVING A REASON WHY I WAS BANNED. Today I was suddenly cut off by this notification while I was logged on to the site: "Sorry Don Paolo, you are banned from using this forum!
This ban is not set to expire."

    Quote
I am totally blocked from access to the cathinfo.com website, after I posted a lenghty excerpt from my book which demolishes the SSPX favoured opinion that a pope while in office can be tried and deposed for heresy by his inferiors. I can access any other website except that one.

    1. "Don Paolo" was never banned from CathInfo.
    https://www.cathinfo.com/profile/Don%20Paolo/

So it has to be his IP address. There are only 3 possibilities:

    A. He is using an Internet provider (AOL for example) that gives out IP addresses from a pool ("dynamic IPs") and he was issued one this morning that was formerly used by a person who got banned from CI.

    B. He was using TOR or another proxy service. Many IP addresses used by those services have been added to the IP Address ban list over the years, and it gets worse for TOR users each time I ban someone from CI. No offense to privacy buffs, but a disproportionate % of banned users happen to use proxy services. Imagine that!

    C. His IP address (static or dynamic) was added to the block list after an "alternate identity" or "Mr. Hyde" version of himself was banned. I'm not accusing Father of having sock puppet account(s), but the truth is that such is a possibility, so I am listing it here for the sake of thoroughness.

What is not a possibility: the account "Don Paolo" being anything other than an account in good standing on CI. It was never banned, not for a minute.

P.S. Fr. Kramer, you are welcome to post "a lenghty excerpt from my book which demolishes the SSPX favoured opinion that a pope while in office can be tried and deposed for heresy by his inferiors" any time you wish. I invite you to post more things like this on CathInfo.

I HAVE NOT, DO NOT and WILL NOT EVER step in to any debates or discussion and ban people just because they disagree with me, and/or because of some private theological opinion they hold. I have stated on many occasions that pretty much "anything goes" when it comes to theorizing on the Crisis in the Church and the status of the recent Popes. I give the widest latitude of anyone on this matter.

I am very picky about who I ban from the forum. They have to be unable to live in peace with others here (and vice versa), or they have to be in serious error. And no, I'm not talking about debated theological points either!

I could have cleared up the confusion right away.

  • I agree that Fr. Kramer has been victimized.

Please bring him back to the forum with high honors.

I like the way he beats upon Father Feeney, the Church's dogma of Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus and Our Lord's explanation of the necessity for water Baptisms.

And besides... his sunglasses in the Sanctuary is trad chic.

  • ^^^^ :laugh2:

I didn't know he thought he was banned, heck, I only found out recently that "Don Paulo" was Fr. Kramer. Not sure why he doesn't just post as himself or at least put it in his signature.

  • I just entered the name of Don Paulo, and the response was "Sorry, no matches were found."

Thus, it appears as if Fr. Paul Kramer is still banned.

I believe that if you are banned you are still listed, as in the banned ggreg (of happy memory): https://www.cathinfo.com/mlist/?sa=search

Indeed, Matthew would never ban anyone for the types of opinions promoted by Father Kramer.  If Matthew hasn't banned me yet, there's no way he would ban Father Kramer.
