  • Do you see anything wrong with the use of an electronic Missal by the laity during Mass?  I've seen pictures of novus ordo priests using electronic missal to say Mass; that seems wrong.

  • I didn't even know there was an e-Missal for the true Mass.

  • It's probably not wrong with a layman using an e-reader to follow the Mass.  The more I think about it, however, the more I wonder if it might be distracting to others.

I would think an e-reader on the altar would be wrong; it would certainly look silly.  I think it would also violate the spirit and the letter of the rubrics.

I have seen priests use an iPad or something similar when delivering the sermon but never on the altar.

  • I once saw an SSPX priest use an app on his smartphone that had the prayers in it when he was giving a blessing.

I would enjoy adding to the Missal; Perhaps we could collaborate towards this goal?

Here is an 'electronic' version of the Missal that I created[:]
    http://traditionalcatholic.net/Tradition/Mass/Missal/index.html

    I've visited the page
    • .

I have waaay too many questions & issues to raise, mostly technical, which somehow seem inappropriate for a Sunday evening that's the first in many months in Florida to be enjoyed by sitting outside
    • .  Even if done while applying an analytical mood to a Sunday missal that predated Vatican II.

    -------
Note *: So sooner rather than later, I'll need to review your "about" Web page.

Note #: The immediately previous Sundays have required a native's tolerance for the heat and humidity, altho' I'm fortunate to be one of 'em.

I've been thinking about this, and I may have some perl code that could be adapted to provide this content.  On the webpage, the "Liturgical Calendar" functionality could be adapted to supply the propers in much the same way it now forwards to Goffine's Devout Instructions for Sundays and Holy Days.

Would you have an online source to recommend for the content, or, if there is a hardcopy source that is preferred, could you suggest the title so I might procure a copy (I have a hardcopy library for most of the content, but it is packed at the moment as I am between homes).

I have a friend who uses a small netbook laptop with Divinum Officium.
