Hello all smarter people on tech:
Plugged into the wall now; given network key for roadrunner.
Sometimes consider trying harder to figure this out because money could be possibly saved. I was given the key unasked for by a friend.
1. I pay Oceanic Time-Warner now Spectrum for internet service in Hawaii. Could the key be used to
entirely substitute for whatever I am paying for now (only internet - no tv, cable)?
2. Do I need a router to access wireless?
https://archive.codeplex.com/?p=virtualrouterHere an article for the version of Windows on my computer about virtual routers.
3. Are there any disadvantages to wireless? Main concerns - Would it not be as reliable as plug-in internet access? Would it be powerful enough to run a forex trading platform which I am guessing is the equivalent of a gaming platform for video gamers?
https://www.labnol.org/software/wireless-network-without-router/11494/It's all mystifying; plugging into the wall and paying Spectrum was automatic until I got the key.
