It has come to my attention that some are annoyed by the frequency and popularity of Marijuana threads.

TOO BAD.

If you don't like them, then IGNORE THEM. STOP BUMPING THE THREADS TO FIGHT AND/OR COMPLAIN.

The market speaks for itself. Looking at the MJ threads, they all have tons of replies. Who am I to tell Trads what they are interested in, what they want to talk about? What's the point of a forum anyhow? It's not the job of a forum owner/moderator to force people to be interested in topics they're not interested in.

If anything, a moderator should be hands-off, otherwise his forum will have less traffic than it would otherwise have. I have to let nature run its course.

Want to discuss a topic 24/7 for a while? I let it run its course. People are interested in what they're interested in. I can't fight it.

If someone started 5 topics that no one cared about -- that's a different story. That's called SPAMMING and would result in threads being deleted and/or the BANNING of the person who did the spamming.

Again, "no one cares about" translates into "almost no replies". When I see MJ threads with hundreds of replies -- I'm not about to squelch that kind of activity and traffic on my forum!

I don't care about MJ myself, one way or the other. But "knock yourself out" as they say.
