1. For your first question, The game will be $4.99 when it's released and I think that is a very fair price. The game will not be a triple AAA title by no means. The budget for the game was exactly $100 But, I am doing this for the glory of God. We are all a fan of free things. and that is why I am going to see how the game goes and maybe after a while I will decide on if I want to lower the price below $5 or even make it free. Also, The game is about 85% done right now. 2. Your good, I don't think your second question is obtuse at all. The game falls more into the category of a single overarching story. The game will be a 3D FPS. But, of course there will be no guns. You are Uriel the Archangel and your weapons are a sword and a shield including other weapons that are swords that shoot lasers (more or less representing the Sword of the Spirit in The Book of Ephesians.) and fireballs. The game takes place in purgatory and a few parts of hell. I am not going to go further into other information since that would of course be spoilers. Satan is the final boss and that is the only spoiler I am comfortable disclosing about the game right now. 3. For your third question, I can sadly not port it to Mac unless I could find someone who could figure out how. The reason being is the game depends on DirectX which is sadly Windows only. However, A Mobile version and a multiplayer online version of the game is in the books. But, I am not going into any detail on that and those may or may not happen. I will have to see how the future goes. I loved these questions. Let me know if you have any more. Pray for me that everything goes well with development. God Bless.
Video games are for little kids. Go out and do something real.
Thanks for the response! $4.99 is definitely a very reasonable price. The story sounds very interesting, as do the weapons and setting. I also think it's neat that you're thinking of developing a mobile game as well. I'll keep praying for your success in this endeavor.
Please keep us posted. I’d buy a copy just to support your work. Some people don’t like video games, but it’s just a form of entertainment (like sports, movies, books, hunting, fishing, etc). I’m sure some people criticized Tolkien in his day for writing “childish” literature. All things in moderation.
Congrats on developing this game, and I hope it turns out well. Creating entertainment, whether in the form of literature, or even games, does have a purpose and a place. It seems quite odd to write out, but I think that Catholics in today's world should develop a more robust cultural identity separate from the mediocre and soulless modern internationalized identity that we are encouraged to adopt. Even small things like this help us to detach ourselves from the poisonous influence of modern pop culture (think modern Hollywood films) and stick to something made by our fellow Catholics. As an aside, is the angel Uriel actually considered a saint? I've heard differing opinions on this subject.
