What should I do?
« on: March 01, 2021, 11:23:00 PM »
Ok here is my situation: My dad divorced his ex wife before I was born and "married" my mother who is a lukewarm/lapsed/novus ordo/nominal Catholic. However my dad's ex wife died when I was 2 years old. So the situation right now is not adultery but more likely sinful cohabitation. What should I encourage my mom to do? My dad was baptized novus ordo just to marry his first wife but he does not claim to be Catholic. Another thing worth noting is my dad is 69 and my mom is 56 so they are most likely not doing the conjugal act very often or not at all.

Encourage your parents to speak with a trust worthy priest. Pray to the Holy Ghost for their intentions.

Be the best possible son you can be. Pray the 15 mysteries everyday for their conversion and salvation. Then leave it up to God and His Blessed Mother to sort it out. They desire their return even more than you. Trust them.

That's a tough situation for you to be in. My advice is to pray regularly for them. Unless and until they become serious about the Faith it is not likely that they will understand or be interested in straightening out their marriage. Again pray, especially to Mary. She will help your parents and She will help you. Mary will help you to speak at the proper time if need be.

Nadir said it best, especially the words that God along with His Mother loves them and cares more than we do.

I believe we are on the brink of chastisement and when that happens the people we pray for will be converted along with whoever God wills to be converted.
