A business received an e-mail from J__ at 11:24 PM:
"I just paid for the following order from my iPad..."
The business receives another e-mail from J__ at 8:57 AM the next day.
"ps. this is my second email and I still have received no reply. I sent the other one from my iPad."
WHAT?!
You are complaining that you "still have received no reply" when your first e-mail has only existed during business hours for FIFTY SEVEN MINUTES?
What, does he think the small, family business is 24-hours, or has overseas customer service that operates overnight? Is this the effect that companies like Amazon.com are having on customers' perceptions?
If I were writing to Amazon.com, and I wrote to them 8 1/2 hours ago at 11:30 PM, I might mention "this is my 2nd e-mail, and I haven't received a response" since they farm out their customer service to a third party, and their customer service is 24/7.
But for most American businesses? Give me a break.
