  • I would like to obtain the writings in book form of st. ambrose, st. augustine, and st. jerome.  Does anyone recommend a source?  Loeb classical works has hardcover versions of much what I want, but I am always suspicious of a non catholic publisher.  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0674992881/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0674992881&linkCode=as2&tag=httpwwwchanco-20

    Please share your thoughts.

  • Loeb  prints books both in Latin and English. The left side of the book is in Latin and the right side in English. You could purchase one book and compare with the original.  I didn't find any used editions on Preserving Christian Publications or Ebay.

  • Clarksmith - Thanks.  I didn't know that the loeb book I linked was side by side latin english.  It didn't say that in the description.  But, that is a big bonus; and it erases my doubt.
