Just because someone disagrees with a Saint on something does not make them a modernist. Saints are not infallible. Saints disagree with other saints, saints have even said things that have contradicted Catholic teaching e.g St Augustine said limbo was a pelagian heresy before the church condemned that proposition.

Some of you have too much human respect and it blinds you, which is why many of you cannot fathom the idea that Saints can be wrong despite being provided with evidence from Popes and councils cough BoD BoB cough.
I did not say disagreeing with something a saint said, but dismissing lightly what St. Thomas Aquinas generally taught.

His Summa was used for centuries as the gold standard for priestly formation. That is not a small thing. He also had the Church Fathers memorized, and has been universally recognized by the Popes and clergy for his orthodoxy.

To love and venerate God in His saints is not human respect. To fail to recognize God in His saints is the true evil here. I would never say a saint cannot err, and I do not believe anyone who accepts BOD would either.

St. Augustine as you said erred BEFORE the Council refuted him. To say that all the Bishops, Popes and saints post-Trent happened to read the Council erroneously is honestly retarded.

Have you considered that maybe you are the one reading it wrongly?

Someone please correct me if I am mistaken, but I believe I have understood here why it is said men are superior to women, despite many holy women existing and doing marvellous deeds for Heaven.

Men are superior by nature, but not by grace. It is by grace that women may be elevated, but not by nature.

Some examples. Our Lady was elevated by grace above all the angels, despite her nature in itself being inferior.

St. Mary Magdalene, by grace was more brave than St. Peter, remaining loyal to her divine Master unto the end.

All the prominent women of history have had the grace of God in their hearts. I cannot think of any women who have done anything for civilization or the glory of God, without being in the state of grace.

You are presuming they ALL believed in BoD which is not the case. Even the fathers of the Church, only a few actually held BoD.

You see the ones that said yes Bod but you do not see all those who did not say ues BoD.

Women love pain, women endure pain, and women don't complain. Good, decent women. The way they handle these things are through grace, which is much better ingrained in themselves than men's. Men have to earn their vigor, women seem to be born with it in most ways. This is why you will see soft men and no softer women, typically masculinized women, in times of societal collapse. God gives them a pleasurable pregnancy process, along with growing pains, higher emotional levels to handle the strife they must bear biologically, for the greatest good. By nature this is why most women are humble. I will not call girls whom are ravenous, quick to humble a man, and lazy in spirit, women.

Can you point out any who did not believe in BOD, because I have never found any.
