I didn't suggest women were all bad. In my profession, I see the absolute worst society has to offer daily. I prefer my single life. Personally, I do not really like children much either.

Mean either. Plus many Catholic women don't want to be submissive. I have no interest in being submissive or equal to my wife. I want to rule the roost. But the laws give women the upper hand in marriage. They initiate most divorces, which isn't surprising since they have a lot more to gain by it than the men.

You're mostly right here, but you're wrong in one area. It's true that the man is the head of the household, but you seem to be over-stepping that boundary a bit (correct me if I misunderstood what you meant). The Bible verse "wives submit to your husbands" is taken out of context by a lot of Protestant men (I've seen it first-hand), and that leads to them being control freaks. The true meaning of that verse is: "wives submit to your husbands the way Christ submitted to the Church".

In other words, the man is going to have to find a balance between being a control freak, and "submitting" to his wife. Otherwise, you aren't going to have a successful marriage.

There's absolutely nothing in that passage to support the idea that a man should "submit" to his wife.

Read your paraphrase of scripture SS, compare it to what is written in the Bible, and tell me what's wrong with it. This is not a Bible verse SS, this is poor memory:

"wives submit to your husbands the way Christ submitted to the Church"

This is a Bible verse:

"Nevertheless let every one of you in particular love his wife as himself: and let the wife fear her husband."

Don't think St. Paul didn't understand feminine psychology.

I never said the verse said that men should submit to their wives. I also never said that "wives submit to your husbands the way Christ submitted to the Church" was the verse. At any rate, I stand corrected about the verse itself, it appears I goofed. Thanks for the correction, my apologies.
