His launching point is ... MJ is bad, but "The moderate consumption of alcohol has a strong place in the Catholic tradition, and Catholics need to be able to distinguish this practice from the use of a drug."

Yeah, but where the moral theology about WHY moderate consumption of alcohol is OK according to Catholic PRINCIPLES, and why do these same principles not apply to MJ.  Alcohol is just as likely to be abused as MJ (if you were to sell the latter in controlled doses).  Apart from Catholics, who believe that it's grave sin to lose control of your faculties, 90% of the rednecks who walk out of the convenience store with a 24-case of beer are going off to get drunk and lose control of their faculties.  Tons of people are killed each year by drunk drivers, lots of people become alcoholics, become violent and commit crimes, etc.

He distinguishes between drugs and foodstuffs (eg., Beer is food, and part of a normal diet; MJ is a drug, and not part of a normal diet).  From there, he proceeds to explain the rationale behind the Church’s prohibition on drugs.

I thought the article was excellent.

It was a scandal to see that during Lent, the zealous defense of marijuana use and advocacy dominated Cathinfo.

That distinction is nowhere to be found in Catholic moral theology when assessing the morality of their use.  Just Novus Ordo made-up pseudo-theology.  If anything you can argue that beer is not a naturally occurring substance whereas MJ is.  You don’t find beer in nature.  That’s not relevant to the moral theology either.

Conciliar pseudo-theology can and must be ignored.

Also not sure why he’s fixated on beer.  There’s more Scriptural support for wine.  Same principles apply to all forms of alcoholic beverage.

The writer likes to listen to himself. He had all of Lent to post articles from Popes, councils, doctors, priests, Catholics, in fact all the 5 Lenten defenders of recreational use of marijuana had, and yet to date we get nothing but personal opinions, like I said during Lent over and over. 

I am sorry, but Ladislaus is a nobody, the same as I and anyone else that posts on CI their unsubstantiated opinions. In the case of Ladislaus, Pax Vobis, and Mark79 it is even worse, for all three have repeatedly said they have not even had a puff of MJ. So they know absolutely nothing about MJ but what they choose to believe.
