It's no wonder they're capable of pulling off mass deception -- the populace can't even think!
They've succeeded!
Sports, immorality, and TV have rotted the brains of the average American. So many people have forgotten HOW to think, nevermind having a good education or solid knowledge!

This comes as a surprise to anyone, why exactly?

Not a surprise really, as I've experienced plenty of such "anti-intellectualism" personally.
However, I find videos like this very enlightening, in a "Novus Ordo Watch" kind of way. If people deny there is a crisis in the Church, then NO Watch serves a good purpose to enlighten them.
But once you get past your early days as a "traditional Catholic", you find that you have plenty to do to improve your spiritual life, and you don't have time to shake your head at clown Masses. That might have gotten you into tradition, but now you're here! Time to "get to work", as it were, and become a saint (or at least a well-informed, virtuous Catholic).
Likewise, it doesn't help you or I so much to see that "yes, some Americans have lost the ability to think." But for people who don't realize that, it can be quite the eye-opening experience to see videos like this.

It is sad that people are so dumb. But these shows are designed to be inflammatory. I'm sure if they accidently interviewed someone with their head screwed on, they would have edited out that interview.

I realize that.
But Jay Leno did something similar, and I'm sure it's not just the same group of people in each edition of "Jay Walking".
There should only be 5 or 6 people in existence like those they showcased -- not dozens, hundreds, or thousands. And I'm afraid there are plenty of them.

Well there were a few questions there I couldn't answer.
What is the Coalition of the Willing? Or did I mishear? My ears do need syringing!
I though of Uruguay or Uzbekistan (sp?) because, I always think of the USA as America!

You're right -- it's not being an American that caused the stupidity we witnessed in the video.
It's modern pop culture which is brought in via TV. I bet anywhere there's TV available, you'll have mindless sheeple like the ones in the video.

It's funny -- we're all a bunch of "αnтι-ѕємιтєs" because we know too much about Israel (actually, it's that we talk about them at all...)
But then the average "kosher", liberal American (who has the AIPAC and ADL stamp of approval) is SO ignorant, they don't even know what religion the Israelis profess!

Modern pop culture does however come from America, so naturally the effects will be more advanced where the disease began.

Good point.
We've basically "Americanized" the whole world with our culture -- except for "backwards" places with few TVs and small pockets of Muslim countries where there is a more "fundamentalist" bent.
"Fundamentalism" means (in modern parlance) nothing more than "having concrete beliefs, and applying those beliefs to daily life".
NOT being fundamentalist means you really don't believe in anything.
