Title: Who is the Antichrist?
Post by: oppositeman on January 02, 2014, 01:00:34 PM
“Who is the liar?  Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ.  Whoever denies the Father and the Son, this is the antichrist.” (1 John 2:22)

Today, in America, the vogue trend is to either deny that there is such a thing as sin or, if you believe that sin exists, to rationalize it out of existence.  Many Americans are turning sin inside out and front to back. The emphasis is now given to our God given right to “choose” according to the “personal freedom” associated with our free will.  Centuries of Christian belief that freedom and choice do and should exist within the framework of the 10 commandments, is being “thrown out the door”.

Those who accept and practice this distorted and dangerous way of thinking have joined the “Antichrist”; and are the instruments of God’s enemy.

God’s children have now become the minority; under attack by the antichrist.

What has been God’s Truth since the beginning is true today and tomorrow and forever.  Do not allow yourself to be deceived.

Stand firm, children of God, and proudly proclaim God’s Truth and in this way you will ensure your salvation.

I have always thought that the Anti-Christ would be the person who the perfidious Jєωs would accept as their false Messiah. I don't know what the Church teaches about this though, so understand that what I say comes from me and not the Church so it may be wrong. I have never seriously what the Church taught about the Anti-Christ.

There are two ways of understanding the antichrist.

The more general way is that anyone who denies God or God's revelation and truth (Jesus said, "I am the truth") is the antichrist.  In this way, there have been many antichrists, or "mini-antichrists" in political leaders, rich people, famous people, influential people, throughout history.  And there could well be a lot more yet to come in the future.

But there is a second way, and it is the common interpretation of nearly all the most prominent theologians and Doctors of the Church, that in the last days there will arise one specific man who will be precisely THE ANTICHRIST.  And they have compiled a description of WHAT he will be like, and WHO he will resemble, and WHAT he will do, and WHAT his intentions will be.  We even have some clues as to HOW he will enter the world.

But what we DON'T know is WHERE exactly he will come from in the world, or WHEN he will arise.

We mostly know WHAT, WHO and HOW.  But we don't know WHEN or WHERE.

We don't know WHEN, other than it will be at the end of the world, but we don't know when that will be (it is part of divine revelation that the date of the last days will be hidden and will come 'like a thief in the night', when we least expect it), and if we were to know what the date will be of the arrival of the Antichrist, then we would know too much about the end of the world, so there goes that possibility.

And we don't know WHERE he will arise from, but it seems pretty sure that he will make his way to Jerusalem to make the rebuilt Temple his throne, and he will seat himself on the MERCY SEAT of the Ark of the Covenant (which apparently is being kept in secret for it has either been found or else its location has been known for a very long time, perhaps since A.D. 70 by the utlra-elite and most powerful subversives in the world whose heritage is an unbroken line to the Scribes and Pharisees who crucified Our Lord), and he will then proclaim himself to be God, and will demand that the world worships him as if he were God.  So says St. Paul, The Apostle to the Gentiles, who was personally infallible.

Regarding the rebuilding of the Temple, you can search online for key words to find websites that are proud to describe how a lot of money is being spent these days on re-crafting all the sacred vessels, furniture, fixtures, equipment, artwork, utensils and items of importance all of which will go into the rebuilt Temple.  These things are in process TODAY, and much of them have already been accomplished.  As to what exactly is yet to be made isn't quite clear, for these people are very secretive about certain things.

One theory making the rounds is that plans are being drawn up for the precise architectural specifications for the Temple, such that it can be re-constructed very quickly.  Using modern techniques, it may even be possible to rebuild the main structure which contains the Holy of Holies, one building, The Temple proper, in three days.  This would be the Antichrist's great achievement which will convince many protestants and lukewarm Christians that he really is a kind of re-incarnation of Jesus, who literally said that he will tear down this temple (which happened in A.D. 70, literally, 'not a stone left upon a stone'), and in three days will raise it up again.  That is something that the ancient Fathers and Doctors of the Church wouldn't have gone so far as to surmise because such unimaginable construction techniques were nowhere on the horizon in those days.  But now they are.  Pre-fab technology has come to the point where very sophisticated buildings can be pre-constructed in modular panels and partitions that can be quickly moved into place using large cranes, and the work can be coordinated with a number of skilled workers, to the effect that a grand project like this is not unthinkable anymore.  But it is the kind of thing that The Antichrist would be able to coordinate in a manner yet unprecedented, such that even construction experts would be in awe over how incredibly intelligent he must be, that is, god-like.

Nor would all the furnishings need to be in place inside by the three-day time limit.  It would be sufficient for the walls to be up and the roof in place, with all the various components that would be added on waiting in the wings, as it were.  Since the vessels and fixtures have already been made in the main, it will be time for an 'overnight transformation' of the Temple when the time comes to 'move in' and amaze the world.

If you want to see someone who is really excited about the prospect of the Temple being rebuilt, just ask most any protestant 'evangelist' today.

Perhaps this is why the Traditional Church is being torn down, so that when the time comes for the Antichrist, the world will have forgotten the magnificence of the Roman Catholic Mass.

The Antichrist promised to those who join him a "better World".

A better world is one of the goals of the masons.

Each translations from different languages will give different clues.

It makes sense. Just as the children of God constitute the Mystical Body of Christ, everyone who is against HIM, is a part of the anti-Christ.

Well he's certainly NOT concerned with saving souls and has a very large following of non Catholics. He seems to despise Traditionals too.

He gets people behind him promoting social justice, great. Acts of mercy are nice. But souls need saving first.

I think the Gospel reading itself states who the anti-Christ is without having to add a diatribe to it
